Janice from Moyock, NC JUNE 18, 2019
I love the way the pianist walks out looking so stern and then smiles and starts playing piano with the young boy. It's very uplifting

Karen from Florida MAY 23, 2019
I love this PSA! The performances by the actors playing the parents are dead-on. The child is adorable. The actor/musician playing the concert performer, however, is what really makes this. His enthusiasm & joy are infectious. Yes, the boy's sudden rush of confidence when he begins playing the tune so surely and swiftly might be just a tad overplayed, but that's wholly forgivable overall. Between the excellent performances & perfect editing, this PSA rocks.

David Okine from Accra Ghana MAY 17, 2019
Its so touching. I love it very much

Ernie D. from Calhoun, TN APRIL 27, 2019
Beautiful PSA! :)

Debra Hickey from Cleveland TN APRIL 17, 2019
Cutest situation. Very patient pianist. Reminds me of my granddaughter playing the piano at a church at age three. The minister Pastor Joe Bradford never stopped her from playing and continued to conduct congregational singing. It was beautiful and very touching. He was the ultimate encourager!

Marie from NY APRIL 14, 2019
So touching and heart-warming.

Trina from Phoenix  APRIL 13, 2019
I watch this commercial every time I hear the music. I especially enjoy the interaction between the adult and the child. It is so poignant how he swoops in telling the child to keep going and they made Magic happen. I would love a copy of that particular variation of Twinkle Twinkle. When I was about the boys age I had a recital playing variations on that theme. (For my skill level of course)

Mary Ann Matney from virginia APRIL 10, 2019
IF only EVERY child could receive just a little encouragement, imagine how wonderful lives and the world would be!!!

Florence Parker from Syracuse NY APRIL 10, 2019
Simply beautiful, that's how star's are made. We need more of this, inspiration!

Marie A. Smith from Bloomfield, New Jersey APRIL 8, 2019
This is one of the most adorable videos on television. What better way to encourage a child to enjoy playing the piano than playing it with a professional. I love this video

Brendath kotok from NY  APRIL 7, 2019
I love every TV community commercial. We need unity in our country and around the world. Well done your faithful beautiful people, you all making a great impact. Go bigger, yes you can. Thank you Best Brendath Kotok

Marie  APRIL 3, 2019
I just love how the man didn't tell the child to get off and accepted him. He encouraged him to go on. Just like we need to do to avoid misunderstandings and suicides and much more negativity.

Mema MARCH 23, 2019
Brings a smile and a tear!! Loved it!!

Charisse Sebastian from Boston MARCH 10, 2019
One of the other posters mentioned the pianist is Kurt Bestor. Kust Bestor is one of the two producer musicians behind the "Innovators" album I got as a giveaway at a trade show decades ago. It is one of my favorite albums. The music is so inspirational. Now I definitely have to record this commercial!!!!

Jessica Salazar MARCH 4, 2019
Wow can’t believe he did that in front of the people but good thing that men help him

The Adult man is Kurt Bestor. He is a great musician. I could see him doing this in real life. He is popular in the intermountain west area of the U.S., and has a large following in Utah.

Deepak Patel from New Jersey NOVEMBER 11, 2018
Very encouraging.

Reginald Turner from Monroe, NC OCTOBER 26, 2018
I think this is one of the best commercials out, even to this day. It shows how something that starts out with a simplistic framework can expose something as this song, something so large and full that the maestro wanted the little boy to continue while he fleshed out greater possibilities. Isn’t it wonderful when we(experts/masters) can walk alongside those that are seedlings and can encourage great potential. Pass It On!!!

Scott from J JULY 4, 2013
Everytime I see this I shed a tear, a happy tear, to think how easily we adults can encourage a young person if we will but take the time. It is also a sad reminder to think how often we pass up the opportunity to do so.

Why not give credit to the real life pianist....Padarewski? It would not detract from the story but rather add veracity to the clip. Great story!

Connie R from California FEBRUARY 20, 2013
I usually get nervous to be in the concert from a school because there are songs that are too funny for them and songs that are nonsense and one of the people are embarrassed.

Nicholas from Boston FEBRUARY 6, 2013
I'm happy to say that I'm almost to tears sometime watching this commercial, and similar commercials (like the girl singing that national anthem, and forgets the words) it's so wonderful and makes me smile every time, high, HIGH praise for anything on television, let alone a commercial. Thank you for putting this up!

Phyllis from Sacramento, CA JANUARY 19, 2013
In the TV world of absurd reality shows, it is a joy to watch such a charming, moral clip. Thank you!!!

Walter from Arizona JANUARY 19, 2013
What a great "feel good" moment! When I first saw this piece three or four years ago, it brought laughter and tears of joy. It still does... There are so many bad commercials that when a really good one is made, it really stands out. The Mean Joe Green Coke commercial was my favorite from the time it was made in 1980 but this one easily beat it out. I have shared it with many others who feel the same. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Liya from Delhi JANUARY 17, 2013

Marc from Napa, CA FEBRUARY 28, 2012
People love this ad and so do I. However it is based on a story that seems to periodically make its rounds on the Internet. While I appreciate the message, the "True Story" opening should really be removed. This Urban Legend has been debunked several times. The Truth or Fiction website is a good place to start. Pass it on.

broz joseph tito from philippines FEBRUARY 9, 2012

Anastasia Fossett from CA SEPTEMBER 14, 2011
I love this commercial! Reminds me to turn embarrassing moments into a learning opportunity!

Ted B from Kingwood TX SEPTEMBER 6, 2011
This "encouragement" commercial should win an award. Very simple and very well done.

E from Ohio AUGUST 23, 2011
This story originated with just a mother and a child playing Chopsticks which quite frankly is much more "annoying" than Twinkle, Twinkle. The great pianist Pader Is reminds us of - well, everything that has been said here. Many different things, but the end result is good from seemingly a less than desirable situation.

gary from philly AUGUST 22, 2011
what is the true story about the concert pianist?

W Doug Ripley from Eugene, Oregon AUGUST 10, 2011
I thank God for things like this, the ads I have seen on TV have been such an inspiration to me. Today I found your web site, oh what a find! Now I can pass this along to the people in my life that I love and care about and everyone else that I haven't had that pleasure with yet. Our spirit is a wondrous force that when expressed gives hope to others and ourselves. Thank you for your actions that made this a reality. I will surely pass it on, bless us one and all. Doug

Judith from Fontana JULY 23, 2011

Colette from Rochester, IL JULY 5, 2011
I am always complaining about commercials. The stupidity of them just amazes me. Saw your "Concert in 60 seconds" commercial! Congratulations. Do whatever you have to to keep the writer(s). It is absolutely wonderful.

Jen from Iowa JULY 3, 2011
I am a pretty sarcastic person and I generally find these kinds of commercials to be hokey and dull, but... This commercial is amazing. Every time I see it I stop what I'm doing and watch it. I was in a similar situation when I was young (although not nearly on such a large scale) and it brings back good memories. Thank you. This commercial is simply amazing.

Tony from Seattle, WA JULY 2, 2011
Brilliant!

ManiX from Concord, NH JUNE 30, 2011
Every time I see this spot, I get the warmness in my heart, I watch this every time I feel a little low, it's worth the smile in the end.

Pam Shumway from McCormick, SC JUNE 14, 2011
I tear up the second this ad begins. Wasn't there an earlier part where the mother or father tries to teach Tommy to throw a baseball, kick a soccer ball, jump, and other physical skills he's not good at? Then comes the part on stage -- when you know Tommy has found his true passion...

Ziad from Dubai JUNE 10, 2011
An amazing way to teach our kids creative thinking (one vital life skill). In this way, they will learn "how to think" not just "what to think".

Cathy from Nanchang,China JUNE 9, 2011
It's amazing,it is so delightful and my heart was filled with moving tears. Encouragement,Pass it on. Well done .

Coleen P. from Salt Lake City, UT MARCH 1, 2011
This is a wonderful portrayal of a concert by Ignacy Jan Paderewski

Buslady from SoCal FEBRUARY 14, 2011
My experience with a famous musician is awesome. I became a fan of a band, found two members online and befriended the guitarist. He is amazing, no "im better than you" ego, he's funny, and makes great sounds on guitar. Met him at a gig. He's even gone far enough as to call me a couple times recently. Where is he? Finland. I rarely get to see him, but he gives me the best gift of all, friendship with some encouragement in my own guitar learning.

Rhonda from Georgia FEBRUARY 13, 2011
My son majors in music (piano) and he has 9 children that he teaches too, very talented and I hope that someday he can pass on encouragement as well. Love, Mom

Glenn S from Montgomery, AL FEBRUARY 11, 2011
As a pianist myself, his reminds me so much of the magnificent pianist who was my childhood inspiration. It also reminds me of attending a Kenny G concert with my then 8-year old son. We had stepped out to buy him a Kenny G t-shirt, which he put on right then. When we came back into the concert hall, it was totally dark. Kenny G emerged from the darkness standing right in front of my son, face-to-face, playing his saxophone. My son was mesmerized. Kenny G took notice of that and continued to play for 2 or 3 minutes. My son took up sax lessons, first using my father's tenor sax that he played in the Navy band in WWII, then learned to play the soprano sax Kenny G most frequently plays. It was a life-changing experience for him - one he will never forget! Bravo for encouragement and inspiration! Keep up the great work!

George Sinzer from New York FEBRUARY 11, 2011
A very heart warming video, I believe we should all encourage our children to be their best and to share that when ever and where ever possible. Perhaps one day a child like this wonderful lad will lead us, one can only hope...

Patrick J. McK. from Formerly Lake View, NY FEBRUARY 8, 2011
My experience with a celebrity was less heart-warming. For my 16th birthday, my twin brother, our older sister and her then-boyfriend were given front row seats at a Neal Diamond concert. Billed with Neal Diamond was Sandy Baron, a stand-up comedian. While were were trying to get the seating arrangement straightened out, Sandy Baron deviated from his routine and tried to get all of us on stage. When we found our seats, I was the last one standing. Against my better judgment, I was talked into climbing on the stage where I discovered that Mr.Baron recruited stooges from the audience. It was a truly humiliating experience. Fortunately, I didn't suffer permanent emotional trauma! I eventually became a semi-professional musician... and left any prospects of stand-up comedy behind me.

Tana H from Billings, MT JANUARY 21, 2011
This hit close to home, considering my parents put me in piano lessons at the age of 5, after I sat down at my grandmother's piano and played Twinkle Twinkle by ear. :) I started writing music by age 10 and it's a passion I'm so glad they initially guided me towards. :)

Kathy R. from Mooresville, N.C. JANUARY 17, 2011
What a bright spot in my day was this message!! How could anyone see this and not feel not only encouraged, but just plain 10 lbs. lighter in the heart! Well done! or should I say "Bravisimo!!!"

Sharon C from Honeoye, NY DECEMBER 18, 2010
I just love the "Concert" - it reminds me so much of how our Nephew, who is attending the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY has taken time out of his hectic schedule to send words of "Encouragement" to our Grandson who is in 8th grand band. This is absolutely beautiful - thank you!!!!!

Jane B from Fort Worth TX DECEMBER 11, 2010

I am an 85 year old TV commercial fan of The Foundation for a Better Life. I am in the Dallas area and see the commercials on Fox Channel. I felt compelled to let you know how very much I enjoy and appreciate your commercials. They are so realistic, delightful, clean and entertaining. Thank you for making my TV viewing more enjoyable. The one I like most is young boy singing with the choir. They're all excellent!

The Concert ad and the Cafeteria ad are my favorites! I try to never miss one. Thanks to Charles, from PA, for providing the original pianist's name as Paderewski. I have been trying to find out who he is but to no avail.

Connie G. from NC JANUARY 12, 2010
I LOVE YOUR TV ADVERTISEMENTS but I especially like the Concert ad. I, too, stop what I am doing to watch this ad. If I had had that kind of encouragement as a child I most likely would be a better pianist today!!

Vicki A. from Cookeville, TN JANUARY 11, 2010
Your "Concert" commercial is absolutely wonderful. When I hear it come on, no matter what I'm doing, I stop to watch. All of your commercial are most heartwarming, but this is the best. Please show it more often.

Patricia W. from Clarkson, Nebraska JANUARY 5, 2010

There are still ideas and images that bring tears of joy to weary eyes. Thank you!

Charles W. from Perkiomenville, PA DECEMBER 30, 2009
I absolutely love the little boy playing twinkle twinkle little star. Besides just commenting that it's a true story, why not tell who the artist "was." I happen to know that it was Paderewski. From where I heard it years ago I don't know.

Kathe W. from Richmond, VA DECEMBER 30, 2009

Wonderful little micro-movie! What about the little boy whose story inspired this film? Is he one his way to becoming a concert pianist?

Susan A from Nottingham, NH DECEMBER 16, 2009
Beautiful-I have been seeing your PSA's for a while now and every single darn time I get goose bumps. Ella B. from Atlanta, GA DECEMBER 7, 2009
I'm teary eyed. Please don't stop the good work you're doing. Its not very often we see people who look like us, who have the same fears as us, who wear the same fashions as us doing great things on TV or anywhere for that matter. The fact that I can see myself in that concert hall makes it more meaningful.

Theo S. from Clackamas, Oregon NOVEMBER 19, 2009
