Throughout my high school years there was an area called the outdoor classroom. When I graduated, the teacher that took care of the area had to have back surgery. Not thinking twice I told her that I would take care of the area for that summer. She insisted on paying me, but I wouldn't take her money. I have been taking care of that area for 3 years now for her. I mow the lawn and clean the pond and trim trees. Every year she asks me why I do this for her and I tell her it is the least I can do for a teacher and a school I love. May all the students at Skyline High School in Idaho Falls come to love the outdoor classroom like I have.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
