my sister was born with down syndrome in 1997 after being alive for a few days , sadly she passed away . She was going to be my younger sister , i was going to take care of her and love her endlessly. i feel like God gave me a purpose in life to work with individuals with down syndrome, to put my devotion that i had with her to another individual or individuals in need. I’m still looking for that right opportunity but once i stumble across it , i know that I’ll be great at it . Even though i’ve never met her i know i would have been the best sister she’s ever had . and i love and miss her everyday.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
