When I was 11 years old, I had to move for the third time from Northern New Jersey to here, in North Wales, PA. Moving was very stressful; moreover, it had been about eight years since I had lived in the Philadelphia area. I was scared of going to a new school, adjusting to a new environment, and meeting new people. After a few months of packing, we finally moved to North Wales. I decided to overcome my fears by interacting with my neighbors and making new friends. I also decided to tour around the area, visiting stores and adjusting to the new area. When i went to elementary school for the first day, I easily made friends with multiple people. By that time, I knew that I had overcome my fears. I was looking forward to my future years in North Wales, which to this day, I am still living fearless in my community.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
