I didn’t know what talent I had I tried everything acting, band, art but nothing. I was ready to give up. when one day we had to run the mile for P.E and I was good I was the first one done. I got a time of 6:29 my teacher was so proud of me he wanted me to try out for the track and cross country team. So I took his advice and did. On the first day of practice, the coach made me leader of the stretches. At one meet had I was very nervous I got ninth place I know i gave it my all but my coach didn’t think so. At our next meet I got fifth place such a big improvement to get that my coach kept on yelling at me “never give up never give in”. Now everyday at practice I tell myself I am going to quit but the thought of her words helped me achieve my goal. I had a talent it was running.
