My Hero
I love fishing with my grandpa. We have so many fun memories. One day I was out fishing with my grandpa and we just caught a fish and I was unhooking it to release it then at that moment I had a flashback.
I got my first fishing pole then I was eight years old. It was an ugly stick that my uncle sent me for my birth day. Shortly after I got my pole I went fishing for the first time. “How long until we catch a fish!?” I asked. “ You have to be patient, the fish will bite” he replied. That fishing trip was a disaster. Shortly after that trip my grandpa taught me how to fish and what to do. I eventually got better and I practiced fishing every other week.
I became the best fisherman in the family. We go camping every summer. I learn new techniques and tricks every time I go fishing. I catch bigger fish every time I go. I sometimes catch the most fish too.
I’m teaching my cousin how to fish now. He’s a fast learner too. Now he can fish by himself. He can out fish me sometimes now.
