I had been visiting a good friend of mine to ask for his guidance regarding a problem I was having. After our discussion, I left his house and walked to my car. I saw a 70's-ish woman pushing a man in a wheelchair. I started to open the car door, but thought better of it. A conversation began between this woman and I. After a minute of chat I asked, "And who is is gentleman?" She said, "It is my husband, Carl. He's 86." I could see that Carl was bent over and not able to speak. I knelt down in front of him, took his hand and said, "Merry Christmas, Carl." He then gently brought my hand toward his face and without a word, kissed it. God gave the three of us a big Christmas gift of Grace in thanks for a small act of kindness.
