The first time I was placed on a horse, I knew that this was going to be my life from then on out. My aunt taught me to ride ever since I was in diapers. But when I moved down to Charlotte, I realized that my aunt had opened so many doors to different endless opportunities for me. One of those doors I have walked into was representing the United States in Wales with the United States Mounted Games Association. From then on, I knew that if I could ride in Wales for the United States, then I could ride in the Olympics also. It’s unreal to think that one day I might represent the United States globally. I just want to thank my Aunt Charlotte for opening the doors to all of my dreams. I definitely want to keep horses as a part of my life for years to come. If I had not been impacted by my aunt, my life would not be the same without the loving and nurturing feel that comes when I have a one-on-one hands-on experience with a horse.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
