When I was in 8th grade, I had lots of friends, I wasn't lonely or anything. But in my P.E. class, I saw this 7th grader who was not liked by many people. No one ever chose him to be on teams.
He sat near me in P.E., so I started talking to him, and I was always nice to him. Whenever I became captain of a team, I would always choose him first, so that he didn't feel bad. Everyone always asked me why I did this but I just told them that it was because of the "little details."
Now, 2 years later, I'm in 10th grade and he's in 9th grade. The other day, he walked by me at school so I smiled at him, thinking he probably wouldn't recognize me. As he was walking past he said my name! I ran up to him, gave him a hug and said, "You remember me? Wow!"
And he was like "How could I forget?"
The whole time we were catching up, I was just stunned that he still remembered me.
