Marisa Thomas

Marisa Thomas is a shining example of a leader who is empathetic to the needs of so many lives in our community. Over the years, she has dedicated her time, talents and resources in mentoring at-risk youth, as well as being an ESOL tutor for new immigrants - instilling encouragement, purpose, and warmth amidst life's trials. In addition to devoting herself to over 2,500 hours of volunteer service within the past 2 years, she is also a brave overcomer - which is a great witness in relating to others. In my lifetime, I have never seen such rare qualities of humbleness and compassion in a person and hope that you will consider Ms. Thomas as a true hero in today's society!
