My hero is my grandma. She died from Alzheimer's on March 30th 2008. Alzheimer’s is a disease that makes you have memory loss, thinking, and behavior changes. Before she died we had spent Christmas together and when I was a baby she took care of me a lot. She taught me how to swim in her pool and she gave me this protein drink and I called it coffee and that is how I kept healthy. She also taught me about faith in God and I still learn about God today. Just before my grandma died I do not think she knew who I was, but I will never forget what she has done for me.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
