Jessica is our youngest daughter of our blended family.
Two years ago Jessica started at a new school and was teased mercilessly for her weight. Being a kind and forgiving person, what we thought was a normal weight loss was, in actuality, the condition of anorexia as she turned inside herself and starved.
Jessica has turned this horrific situation into one of positiveness and understanding. At her young age and because of her forgiving nature, Jessica OVERCAME the odds and not only balanced her life, she has taught us so much about healthy eating. She is a wonderful cook, is now more beautiful outside as well as in and will be finalizing a 6 month program in Barbizon International to both model and act. Her acting and singing talent has been a tool to mentor those younger than her on the effects and strength to overcome their own problems with eating and with teasing (which never stops).
We are so proud of Jessica. She has shown us that strength of will and of faith can overcome the worst odds.
Thank you for allowing us to share her story.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.Tell Us Your Story All Everyday Hero Stories
