My Aunt Kathy was one of the most special people I have known in my life. She was the kind of person that never said a bad word about anyone, she was loved by everyone that ever knew her. She was not a perfect person, she made mistakes, but she helped me through some hard times growing up and always made me feel special. She died last year of non-smokers lung cancer. It was great to see every single person in our family there for her funeral as well as so many people she knew. A sad note as well, was that she had just lost her sister Sandy to uterine cancer the month before. When my Aunt Kathy died, I promised myself that I would strive to be more like her. She was a very calming person, very gentle and understanding. She worked with special needs children and had 3 loving sons with my Uncle. My Aunt Kathy was and always will be my hero.
