Julianna Bolton was my sixth grade reading teacher and taught me everything I needed to know. However, towards the middle of the year she said she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. I cried when I heard the news and was upset that the best teacher I've ever had might be leaving me. Then I thought about how her family might feel. She pulled me aside after class and asked me if I was o.k. I began to cry and said that I didn't want her to leave me. She promised me she'd come back a couple of months after surgery. Sure enough she came back and all the cancer was removed. I thought and thought about the day she came back. God had given everyone that knew her a blessing. He also gave her the strength to teach me more than reading, she taught me the power of courage and what a little hope can do.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
