I never thought about how important integrity is in life until I was in the middle of some trouble. After I thought about what I did and how foolish it was, I went back to the people I affected negatively and asked to correct the situation.
To my surprise, they had positive words to give me and mentioned how few people today have the integrity to correct something they did wrong. It was only after they mentioned how some people let their integrity drain out of their lives as water would from a cracked cup.
That visual made me aware of two things; one, I can lose any integrity I had built up to that point by things I say or do and two, integrity can be re-established with time, concentration and effort.

It’s a nice story and I feel that the more people read this (especially kids), I feel they would learn that integrity is a good habit to catch.

This story really touched me on a deep level. I really agree with Tiffany S., there is always a second chance with humanity.

I feel you were talking right to me with this. I thought of integrity as being perfect. I too have made mistakes, and you have taught me that it is important we learn from our mistakes and move forward in building a better future and making wiser decisions.

Humility is needed to recognize you did something wrong and courage not to only admmit it but to ask for forgiveness to those affected. Good for your integrity!!
