Started as an average Asian kid, everything seemed normal and fun until I got to Grade 3. My grades were just dropping, my parents forced me to study harder and there were some tough nights where they would give me an hour long lectures which I hated, but had to deal with. Through grade 4, 5, and 6 I kept having the same problem, failing grades. During this time In grade 5 I developed some love and appreciation for track and field and eventually competed for 100m and 200m. I won and made it as far as regionals, lost but came out happy and proud that I made it that far. Grade 6 came along and I ended up losing, despite the fact that I worked so hard for it. And now, I thought I worked harder but I still lost, my opponent just keeps working harder than me, I realized that every moment made up for that day. I have one last chance to prove them wrong, to win and sit my opponent back down. I will dedicate every single day to working and training to the point where I know without a doubt I will win no matter how hard they worked, I worked harder, whatever they did good, I did better. The mentality you need for life is "Yeah I lost, but guess what, I AIN'T GIVING UP." then what? You look up, GET UP, and don't ever give up. Just because you fail, that does not make you a failure, when you keep going, keep working hard, you will win. Without pain, suffering, without regrets and failures, you will never become the greatest.
