I am a 20 year old boy and a student of Ateneo de Naga University, Pillipines. I had a fracture in my left arm while playing skateboard in a skate park. My family is not rich but spent 70 thousand philipine peso working abroad to pay for my medical bills. When I had that accident I thought that my life would never be the same, I cried the whole month of August.
After that month, though, I watched a skateboarding video and I remembered how much I loved skateboarding. Finally, I got the courage to ride my skateboard again and I felt my pulse get faster. I was afraid to skate again but now, in spite of the desperation, I'm skating again.
I recently won first prize in a skateboarding competition.
Whoever reads this, you must continue your life. Go to the direction of your fear.

I've learned an important life lesson from your life experienced: we should never let obstacles stopped us, including fear.

It's your passion and perseverance which kept you going. Keep it up.

Thanks mate, I have a similar passion for football (soccer) but am always injured. Never give up hope and inspiration, this is what keeps me going. The world is so full of negativity but stories like this completely overshadow it. Keep on with your skateboarding!
