When my dad was diagnosed with advanced Hodgkins lymphoma, he was sent for chemotherapy to a hospital downtown. He drove himself to the hospital for every treatment, then drove himself from the hospital back...
...to WORK, and finished the business day at the office.
The determination and courage it took to persevere through the incredible physical, mental, emotional and spiritual pain of such a process, made the cancer go into remission for five years before it came back and finally got him.
This example is one of the foremost among the sources to which I turn when I need to find strength of my own.
